RATIONALE: A drawing sketchbook with journaling and drawings that illustrates a moment with students that is funny. Shows how teaching is always fun and can muster through the difficult times. And to also show how building positive and strong relationships with students can be unique and beautiful. OUTLINE:

- My Student Teaching Experience: Building Relationships
3. Feelings to evoke in my audience:
- I'm hoping to evoke feelings of excitement and illustrious during and after my presentation. I want my audience to feel excited to see my work and how my student teaching experience has molded me into an insightful teacher. I want my audience to feel proud with me that I have completed this part of my career/education.
- I will portray my sketch book in a video. I will read my journal entries week by week and show the drawing i did for each week. I will also let the audience look at it on my website.
- I will also portray pictures of my daily class announcements for my audience at the beginning of my presentation in a video that is also available on my website.
- Beginning: PwoerPoint starts with introduction slide with About Me slide
- Introduce myself in Navajo and introduce interests (About Me).
- Talk about my imaginary audience and why I would want them to be there.
- Talk about why I wanted to student teach at Park Elementary. (How it was convenient for me because my son was in Kindergarten there)
- Student Teaching Experience at Park Elementary: Talk about my experience at Park Elementary, planning, how hard it was because of the work load, meeting students, talking with other teachers, and lessons.
- My experience at Park Elementary: show the video of the morning announcements.
- Talk about lessons, (the good, the bad, and the ugly) and how they made me feel. Being supported from my CT and my CS by telling me it happens to keep going forward. Important thing to remember: I learn from mistakes.
- Math lessons (Teaching whole fraction unit that had 28 lessons)
- Crew lessons (Kindness Wall)
- Science lessons (Teaching earth science unit)
- Talk about the realization of the amount of work teachers have to do on a daily basis (how I was exhausted)
- Importance of Student Relationships: talk about how no matter through the hard lessons, the exhausted nights, and the repeated instructions. I always recall my funny memories with my students and reminds me that teaching is fun because of the students.
- Show artifact (sketchbook) and talk about how I chose to draw each one, one for each week and the importance of building relationships with your students. A moment of the week where I shared with a student that was memorable. Show artifact in a video and post on website,
- Read "Who I Am As a Teacher?" and explain how my experience in immersion and student teaching has held me to those ideals and attributes of being a teacher.
- Introduce the whole idea of believing in building strong, and positive relationships with children.
- Closure:
- Thank cooperating teacher, CS, and family member for their support. Thank the audience for being there. (Audience will stand and clap after my presentation.)
